Kjerulf Tranås - The Pig House
Tranås grew up in Førde, lived most of his life in Stryn, Nordfjord, and spent his last years in Lillehammer. He was a multifaceted talent, was considered a promising painter as a young man, and wrote three books in the years 1900-10. During his stay in Copenhagen, he gave a number of lectures in student societies and artists' associations. Tranås painted several dramatic figure compositions (Too Late, 1905, and Jernbyrden, before 1920), and a number of landscape motifs from Nord- and Sunnfjord, in which he alternated between a distinctive romantic mysticism and quiet and sensitively perceived nature studies.
Aase Kvikne Bjordal - Still Life
(1921 - 2009)
Bjordal was born and raised in Balestrand, and is the daughter of Sigurd and Marta Kvikne, who owned Kvikne's Hotel. She was educated at the State School of Arts and Crafts in Oslo, the Vestlandske kunstakademie in Bergen, and the Bergen School of Arts and Crafts.
Bjordal finds her motifs in the old rural environment. Techniques such as cold needle, aquatint, etching and serigraphy are well suited to these motifs. She has done many decorative assignments, and had many exhibitions.

Einar Enblom - From Ese
(1900-1936)
Enblom was Swedish, and was born in Stockholm. Despite his Swedish origin, it is correct to call Enblom "Balholm painter". We know that Enblom stayed in Balestrand for long periods. He was, among other things, a good friend of Sigurd Kvikne, and was called Uncle Einar by the Kvikne family.
He was in Balestrand in the summer, and in Switzerland in the winter. Enblom died in Switzerland at only 36 years old.
Seim, H. - Marine boats in Fjærland
Harald Seim (born 1882 in Seim, Alversund in Nordhordland, died 1975 in Sandane) was a Norwegian painter.
His father Nils Larsson Seim bought Kinn Island in 1896 and moved to Kinn with his wife Kari and three youngest sons Magnus, Harald and Einar. Outside of his studies, he lived on Kinn all his life and the coastal nature with cormorants and sea eagles were important motifs in his work. He also traveled to Balestrand and Fjærland, and obtained motifs there for his paintings. He studied at the Norwegian Academy of Fine Arts from 1909 to 1917 with Christian Krohg as his teacher, and made his debut with an exhibition in Bergen in 1911. He participated in the Autumn Exhibition from 1912 to 1917, and the exhibitions of the Western Norwegian painters at the Artists' House in the interwar period.[1] In 1931 he attempted to sell five paintings signed "Nikolai Astrup", for which he was sentenced to 75 days of suspended imprisonment. Previously, he had submitted a picture to the Autumn Exhibition with Astrup's signature as a demonstration.

Niels Bergslien was a Norwegian visual artist born in Voss. He worked as a painter, draftsman, and sculptor, and can be associated with the national romantic movement.
Nils Bergslien was the nephew of the sculptor Brynjulf Bergslien and the painter Knut Bergslien.

92. Knut Rumohr - Composition, 3 images
(1916 - 2002)
Knut Rumohr was born in Frønningen in the Sognefjord. With the exception of short and long stays in Oslo, Rumohr has lived in Sogn his entire life. Rumohr is usually called a painter, graphic artist and draftsman. Today, with his sharp and striking colors and his personal abstract painting, he is the most famous and well-respected artist here in Sogn. He is well known throughout Norway and abroad, and is represented in many well-known museums and galleries.
